Ultimate 10-Day Thailand Itinerary: Bangkok, Pattaya, Koh Jum & Ayutthaya Adventures

Day 1: Arrival in Bangkok and Exploring Iconic Landmarks

Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)

  • Time Required: 1-1.5 hours

  • Entrance Fee: 50 THB

  • Highlights: Admire the stunning central prang (tower), intricate porcelain decorations, and views of the Chao Phraya River.

 Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha)

  • Time Required: 1.5-2 hours

  • Entrance Fee: 200 THB 

  • Highlights: Visit the massive Reclining Buddha statue, explore the temple grounds, and the traditional Thai massage school.

 The Grand Palace

  • Time Required: 2-3 hours

  • Entrance Fee: 500 THB

  • Highlights: Explore the royal halls, Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew), and the impressive architecture within the palace complex.

Day 2: Bangkok Safari World and Marine Park

 

  • The Safari World is a large open-air zoo with a drive-through safari, where you can see a wide variety of animals in a naturalistic setting. It’s divided into different zones, such as the African Savanna, Asian Highland, and more, offering a great chance to see animals like lions, zebras, giraffes, and more.

  • Time Required: 2-3 hours to explore the safari zone

  • Ticket Pricing:

        Adult: 1,500 THB 

        Child (3-12 years): 1,200 THB  

        Safari World + Marine Park Combo Ticket: 1,700 THB for adults, 1,400 THB for children

 

  • This part of the park features a marine and aquatic animal experience with shows and exhibits. Visitors can enjoy dolphin, sea lion, and bird shows, and see animals like penguins, sharks, and tropical fish in massive aquariums.

  • Time Required: 2-3 hours for shows and exhibits

  • Ticket Pricing: Included in the combo ticket above, but entry for Marine Park alone is:

       Adult: 1,300 THB 
       Child (3-12 years): 1,000 THB 

Day 3: Pattaya

Tiger Temple

  • Time Required: 1–1.5 hours

  • Entrance Fee: 400 THB per person

  • Highlights: Get up close with tigers and experience the unique setting of the temple grounds.

Elephant Sanctuary

  • Time Required: 2–3 hours

  • Entrance Fee: 1,000–1,500 THB per person

  • Highlights: Enjoy a 30-minute elephant ride through a Thai village, feed elephants, and pose for photos with a python.

Day 4: Pattaya

Tiger Temple

  • Time Required: 1–1.5 hours

  • Entrance Fee: 400 THB per person

  • Highlights: Get up close with tigers and experience the unique setting of the temple grounds.

Elephant Sanctuary

  • Time Required: 2–3 hours

  • Entrance Fee: 1,000–1,500 THB per person

  • Highlights: Enjoy a 30-minute elephant ride through a Thai village, feed elephants, and pose for photos with a python.

Day 5 & 6 : Krabi

Koh Jum Island

  • Time Required: 5 hours

  • Cost : 2100 INR per night for family of 3

  • Highlights: Flight from Bangkok airport to Krabi followed by 1 hour car journey & later in long tail boat to koh jum island. Known as forgotten island serenity of beautiful island & people living on it reminds me of the movie The Beach. Spend day resting & enjoying beautiful crystal clear beaches, hangout in cafes. Stay at Koh jum beach resort, villas made of wood close to beach.


Day 7 : Phi phi tour

  • Time Required: 2 hours

  • Entrance Fee: 500 THB per person(National Park fees)

  • Highlights: Enjoy rough water ride to Phi phi island maya bay beach. There are 4 islands tour which can cost approx. 4000 Baht for family of 3 and you can enjoy swimming, snorkeling explore bamboo beach.


Day 8 : Bangkok

  • Time Required: 5 hours

  • Highlights: Return to Bangkok spend a day exploring floating market, shopping, etc.

Day 9 & 10 : Ayutthaya

  • Time Required: 2 hours

  • Entrance Fee: 800 THB (Grab for family)

  • Highlights: After reaching to hotel The Park Resort Ayutthaya, a cozy Airbnb near the historic park. Explore Wat Maha That temple which is famous for Buddha head entwined in a Banyan tree. At night, explore Ayutthaya Night Market and enjoy local treats like ice cream sandwiches and jelly pancakes.

  • Wake up in morning & start with Bang Pa-In Royal Palace (the Summer Palace). If you are lucky then get to watch a live parade by the Thai Royal Army.

  • Then go to floating market (200 Baht/person) to explore thai culture, feet massage, thai delicacy & cultural fight show. It is also famous for elephant ride & feeding programs. 

Day 10 : Return to India
