Exploring Cape Town and Beyond: A South African Adventure

Day 1: Arrival in Johannesburg and Flight to Cape Town.

Transfer to hotel upon arrival in Cape Town. (1 hour)

Evening at leisure.

 

Day 2: Exploring Cape Town Activities:

•   Book an Uber to the V&A Waterfront. (30 minutes)

•   Enjoy a 45-minute boat ride, spotting sea lions, luxury yachts, and marine boats. (1 hour including boarding)

•   Visit Table Mountain, ride the cable car, and enjoy the breathtaking views. (3-4 hours)

•   Have lunch at RAJ Indian restaurant in Camps Bay Beach. (1.5 hours)

•   Evening at leisure, utilizing Cape Town's efficient Uber service.

 

Day 3: Cape Peninsula Tour Activities:

• Visit Boulders Beach to see the penguin colony. (2 hours including travel time)

• Explore Cape of Good Hope, take the funicular to the lighthouse, and trek to Cape Point. (3 hours)

• Enjoy a scenic drive along Chapman's Peak. (1.5 hours)

 

Day 4: Stellenbosch Winery Tour Activities:

• Take an Uber to Stellenbosch Reserve, enjoy scenic views. (1 hour)

• Participate in wine tasting, sampling different wines with cheese and garlic bread. (2-3 hours)

• Enjoy lunch with a veggie pizza. (1.5 hours)

• Visit Sea Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront. (2 hours)

• Ride the Cape Wheel. (30 minutes)

 

Day 5: Free Day in Cape Town Activities:

• Explore Cape Town on your own.

• Suggested visits: Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden (3 hours), Bo-Kaap neighborhood (1 hour), or a Robben Island tour (4 hours including ferry ride).

Day 6: Cape Town to Pilanesberg National Reserve 

• Flight Details: Cape Town (CPT) to Johannesburg (JNB)

• Activities: Transfer to Pilanesberg National Reserve (2.5-hour drive).

• Arrival at Bakubung Bush Lodge around 14:30 hrs.

• Check-in at Bakubung Bush Lodge. (30 minutes)

• Afternoon game drive. (3 hours)

• Dinner at the lodge. (1.5 hours)

Day 7: Pilanesberg National Reserve Activities:

• Morning game drive. (3 hours)

• Enjoy lodge amenities: clubhouse, tennis, basketball courts, kids play area, and wildlife center. (Varies)

• Afternoon game drive. (3 hours)

• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the lodge. (1 hour each)

Day 8: Pilanesberg to Johannesburg Activities:

• Morning game drive and breakfast at the lodge. (4 hours total)

• Lunch & Transfer back to Johannesburg. (2.5-hour drive)

• Check-in at OR Tambo Guest House near the airport. (30 minutes)

• Evening at leisure.

 

Day 9: Exploring Johannesburg and Departure Activities:

• Visit Johannesburg Zoo and have lunch. (3 hours)

• Shop for souvenirs at Rosebank Art and Craft Market. (2 hours)

• Visit Gandhi Square to learn about Gandhi's history in South Africa. (1 hour)
